Etihad Cargo, the freight and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has launched what it describes as the first dedicated logistics training academy for the air cargo sector in the UAE, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier announced on February 25.

The Etihad Cargo Excellence Hub offers mandatory and optional training programmes for Etihad Cargo representatives and partners worldwide, covering operational standards, product and service frameworks, and safety and compliance modules aligned with international regulations. The digital platform also includes globally accredited programmes delivered in partnership with academic and professional institutions, alongside soft skills training aimed at improving customer communications.

Chief Cargo Officer Stanislaus Brun said consistent performance across the carrier’s global partner network had become a competitive advantage. “This initiative protects our brand, reinforces performance discipline, and directly supports the distinctive customer experience we are committed to delivering,” he said on February 25.

Dr Nadia Bastaki, Chief People, Government and Corporate Affairs Officer at Etihad Aviation Group, said the academy reflected the group’s commitment to investing in human capital. “By providing accessible training courses and a knowledge-sharing platform, Etihad Cargo aims to build the capabilities of those new to air freight and those seeking to advance within it,” she said on February 25.

The platform is designed to allow standardised knowledge distribution across all regions, ensuring operational consistency among partners globally.
