Kuwait Airways will resume operations from Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport on April 26, restoring flights to 17 destinations after the country’s airspace was closed in late February amid the US-Iran conflict, Gulf News reported on April 24.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation lifted restrictions that had been in place since the outbreak of hostilities, when flights were halted as a precautionary measure, Al Seyassah reported.

Acting chief executive Abdulwahab Al Shatti said the resumed schedule includes three weekly flights to London, Riyadh, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi and Manila, alongside a daily service to Cairo. Jeddah and Dhaka will receive four weekly flights, while Beirut, Damascus and Lahore will be served twice a week. Weekly services will connect Kuwait to Istanbul, Guangzhou and Colombo.

Al Shatti said the carrier was fully prepared to manage varying operational conditions and had structured plans in place to ensure continuity while maintaining safety and service standards.

The resumption follows Iran’s reopening of six more airports announced on April 22 and Qatar Airways’ restoration of daily flights to the UAE and Syria, as Gulf aviation gradually rebuilds connectivity disrupted by the conflict.
