Saudi Arabia’s TOURISE will hold its second global tourism summit in Riyadh on March 23-25, 2027, the tourism ministry-backed platform said on September 16.

The event gives the kingdom a second showcase for its tourism investment pipeline after the inaugural summit in November 2025, at which TOURISE announced $113bn in portfolio investments across hotels, integrated destinations, wellness, retail, talent development and AI-powered platforms. Saudi Arabia recorded 122mn domestic and international visits in 2025 against a Vision 2030 target of 150mn, and Riyadh has been adding trade fixtures such as WTM Spotlight Riyadh to its calendar.

The 2027 edition will run under the theme “Alliances That Move the World”, organisers said at a launch press conference. Over three days, public and private sector leaders from tourism, technology, investment, sustainability, culture, mobility and government will focus on the partnerships and investment needed to shape the sector over the next 50 years.

“The future of tourism will be shaped not by any single destination, company or institution, but by the strength of the alliances we build between the public and private sector,” said Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, who chairs TOURISE. “In March, we invite the world to Riyadh to build the alliances that will shape the next 50 years of tourism.”

The first confirmed speakers include executives from Booking Holdings, Marriott, Hilton, Intrepid Travel, S4 Capital, Wego, Switzerland Tourism and Technogym, with more to be named.

“The next chapter of tourism will be defined by collaboration at a scale we have never seen before,” said Gloria Guevara, President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), who took part in the launch.

Partners and sponsors for the 2027 summit include stc, Dar Al Arkan, The Avenues, Qiddiya City, Aseer Development Authority, Saudia, Jeddah Central, Taiba, the Tourism Development Fund, Red Sea Global, Almosafer and Snapchat. Attendance is by invitation, with requests taken through the TOURISE website. The platform is also running nominations for the second TOURISE Awards.

The Saudi Ministry of Tourism created TOURISE in 2025 as a year-round platform linking government, business, investment and technology, and hosted the first summit in Riyadh on November 11-13 that year. It is overseen by a Board of Trustees chaired by Al-Khateeb, with members drawn from online travel agencies, tour operators, hospitality, global tourism bodies, entertainment and media.
