Abu Dhabi is courting Indian families for Diwali with six-night packages from INR83,325 ($945), the emirate’s Department of Culture and Tourism said on October 6.
The campaign leans on Indian tour operators to package the emirate for extended families, with flights of three to four hours from major Indian cities and hotel discounts timed to November.
Utazzo’s six-night Discover Abu Dhabi Festive Celebrations package costs INR83,325 per person. It covers accommodation with breakfast, airport transfers, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Yas Island theme parks and a desert safari.
Flamingo Transworld’s three-night package from Ahmedabad costs INR167,500 ($1,900) and includes return economy flights, a UAE visa, high tea at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, two Yas Island theme parks and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi. Thomas Cook’s three-night Arabian Dhamaka winter package costs INR136,500 ($1,550) and adds Qasr Al Watan, Snow Abu Dhabi and the BAPS Hindu Mandir.
Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is offering up to 25% off its best available rate on stays of at least two nights from November 1 to 15, with complimentary all-inclusive accommodation for children in selected rooms. Namak restaurant will run a Diwali Table from November 6 to 8 at about INR4,200 ($48) per adult, with up to two children aged 10 and under dining free.
The promotion comes as Abu Dhabi prepares for the December 11 opening of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and after it launched a MENA travel campaign with Wego. Prices are subject to availability and partner terms.
