Investec selects Navan to modernise its global travel programme, with the AI-first platform to consolidate travel operations and cut administration, according to a press release.
Navan says Investec will be a “lighthouse account in the banking sector”, as its financial services customer base grows 36% year on year to nearly 1,500 institutions. Emerging Travel has also reported on UK travellers turning to AI to plan holidays.
Lyndon Subroyen, Investec Group’s chief technology and operating officer, says the bank is “excited to partner with an AI-first travel platform” as its digital transformation continues. Investec, which is listed in the UK and South Africa, wanted a partner to consolidate travel operations, reduce administrative work, improve the booking experience, raise platform adoption and help employees travel more cost-effectively.
Navan’s inventory includes more than 600 airlines, over two million lodging properties and major rail and rental-car providers. Automated reconciliation is intended to give finance teams real-time visibility and save them time. Zahir Abdelouhab, Navan’s senior vice president of enterprise sales for EMEA, says Investec’s focus on travel sends a signal to the industry.
For the 12 months to August 31, 2026, financial services customers’ flight bookings on Navan rose 12%, hotel bookings rose 9% and expense transaction volume rose 7% year on year. Visa, Paysafe and Block are among its customers.
