The Plus500 Dubai City Half Marathon will return to Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on November 8, organiser Promoseven Sports Marketing said on October 15.

The eighth edition of the Dubai City Half Marathon takes runners through the streets and boulevards of the financial district, which uses events to draw residents and visitors into an area built around offices and towers. It adds to a busy Dubai winter season of leisure and sporting events.

Runners can choose from 5 km, 10 km, 15 km and 21 km distances, with the 15 km category, introduced last year, returning. Registration is open with early-bird discounts.

Saleh Al Akrabi, chief real estate officer at DIFC Investments, said the race had “become a landmark community event, attracting thousands of participants to DIFC” over its first seven editions. Healthcare provider Medcare is supporting the event for a fifth consecutive year.

London-listed online trading platform Plus500 (LSE:PLUS) returns as title sponsor. Promoseven Sports Marketing organises the race, which is held each year at DIFC with categories for runners of all levels from the UAE and abroad.
