How we report
The principles behind every story Emerging Travel publishes, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Our standards
Accurate and independent
Sourcing. We report from primary sources wherever possible: official announcements, company press releases, regulatory filings and government data. When we rely on another publication, we credit it. We do not publish anonymous claims without independent corroboration.
Verification. Every story is checked before publication. We verify names, titles, figures and dates against the original source, and an editor reviews each story against our house style.
Independence. Our editorial team decides what we cover and how. Advertisers and service clients have no say over our news coverage, and buying advertising does not buy coverage.
Impartiality. We cover the travel trade on its own terms. We report what companies and destinations announce, and we keep opinion separate from news.
Sponsored content. Paid content is always clearly labelled. See our sponsored content policy.
Use of AI. We may use AI tools to help with research and translation. A human editor reviews every story and takes responsibility for it before it is published.
Corrections. If we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and add a note to the story explaining what changed. To report an error, email info@emergingtravel.news with the story link and the correction.
Right of reply. Companies and individuals named in our reporting can ask to respond. We consider every request and update stories where appropriate.
