Jet2 is adding Tunisia to its network for summer 2027, launching flights and holidays to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport from five UK airports from May 1, with the announcement first flagged by aviation analyst Sean Moulton.
The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline will serve Enfidha from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Manchester, with the summer programme running from May 1 to October 31, 2027.
Birmingham will operate two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May 1 to October 30. East Midlands and Leeds Bradford will each have weekly Saturday flights running over the same period. Manchester will offer two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays from May 7 to October 29. London Stansted will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from May 2 to October 31.
The addition brings Jet2’s total summer 2027 portfolio to more than 70 destinations, with Tunisia joining Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh and Kavala among four newly announced additions to this year’s programme.
Jet2holidays customers travelling to Tunisia can choose from three to five-star hotels across the resorts of Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet and Hammamet.
Jet2 first flew to Tunisia in 2015, operating from East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle airports. The programme was suspended shortly after launch following a mass shooting near Sousse in which 38 people were killed, including 30 British nationals.
“We are thrilled to be giving customers and independent travel agents even more choice, thanks to the launch of Tunisia as our latest new addition,” said Steve Heapy, Chief Executive of Jet2. “With year-round sunshine, rich culture and fantastic value, Tunisia has something for everyone and we know how immensely popular it will be.” — Travel Weekly, June 18
Fakhri Khalisi, Acting UK Director at the Tunisian National Tourist Office, said the announcement represented a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen Tunisia’s position as a leading Mediterranean destination and reflected the growing confidence of major travel operators in its tourism offering. — Jet2.com, June 18
