Malaysia Airlines plans to resume scheduled services to Jeddah and Madinah from October 18 after reviewing safety conditions, the carrier said on October 17.
The decision follows a temporary suspension of flights to the two Saudi cities. The airline said it had completed a safety and operational risk assessment before setting the restart date.

Customers should confirm their flight times and update their contact details through the airline’s website or app, the statement said. Those who booked through an agent or another platform should contact that provider about their arrangements.
The carrier said it continued to monitor regional developments. Its statement announced a resumption date but did not confirm the departure of individual flights.
The move comes as other airlines face disruption in Saudi Arabia. Air India has extended cancellations at Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah until October 20.
Malaysia Airlines’ operational decision is separate from government travel advice. Australia’s October 16 advisory warned against travel to Saudi Arabia, including religious visits, because of security concerns.
