Ras Al Khaimah has signed three letters of intent with US business organisations following a four-state trade visit that included talks on tourism and resort development, its government media office said on October 19.
The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber signed the letters with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Michigan’s Ann Arbor SPARK and World Trade Center Utah. They establish frameworks for cooperation on trade, investment and entrepreneurship.
The delegation visited Florida, Michigan, Nevada and Utah. Carel Richter, international relations adviser to the emirate’s ruler, led the mission.
In Nevada, delegates met Wynn Resorts ahead of the planned September 2027 opening of Wynn Al Marjan Island. Discussions with Las Vegas mayor Shelley Berkley covered tourism cooperation, convention infrastructure and a possible sister-city relationship.
In Utah, meetings with Snowbird Resort, Utah Olympic Park and Deer Valley explored destination development and exchanges between public bodies and private businesses.
The tourism discussions accompany wider efforts to deepen US commercial ties. Florida meetings built on a 2025 Miami agreement and included university links. Michigan talks covered manufacturing, agricultural technology and robotics, alongside opportunities involving Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone.
The emirate will now assess opportunities identified during the visit and work towards potential projects. The announcement disclosed no investment amounts or binding project commitments.
The outreach follows Ras Al Khaimah’s record first half of 2026, when it received 670,000 visitors. Its growing hotel pipeline provides a backdrop to the discussions with US operators.
