The Hari to open third property in Singapore in 2027

Harilela Hotels is bringing its boutique luxury brand The Hari to Singapore, with a spring 2027 opening that will see a familiar Orchard Road address reborn as a 326-bedroom hotel.

The property at 11 Cavenagh Road currently operates as the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. Under the conversion, it will gain a rooftop pool, executive lounge, dining and wellness experiences, and the revolving artwork programme that has become a calling card of The Hari brand.

British designer Tara Bernerd, whose work defined the interiors of both The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong, returns for the Singapore project. Her signature approach layers contemporary elegance with a strong sense of place, and in Singapore she will draw on the city-state’s cultural depth and energy. The two existing Hari properties sit in distinctly characterful neighbourhoods – Belgravia in London and Wan Chai in Hong Kong – and Orchard Road, Singapore’s storied retail and hospitality corridor, continues that pattern.

The Harilela family has deep roots in Asia. The Harilela Group was established in 1959 and remains wholly family-owned, operating 15 hotels across Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe and the US through its hospitality arm, Harilela Hotels. The Hari London opened in August 2016, with The Hari Hong Kong following in December 2020.

Brand founder Dr. Aron Harilela framed the Singapore opening as part of a broader expansion into major international cities. “This hotel, like our sister properties in Belgravia and Wan Chai, will embody relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and genuine heartfelt hospitality,” he said. “Singapore is key to our ambition to evolve The Hari in major international destinations.”
