Marriott International has opened its first property in Madagascar with the launch of the Delta Hotels by Marriott Antananarivo, marking the brand’s entry into the Indian Ocean island nation, African Media Agency reported on April 10.
The 107-room property is located within Antananarivo’s business district and is operated by LUCEO Group’s hospitality division. It offers six meeting and event rooms covering 615 square metres of flexible meeting space, alongside a spa, a modern fitness centre and what the hotel describes as the city’s largest indoor heated pool.
The hotel’s food and beverage offering includes SAKOA, an all-day restaurant serving international cuisine, a bar, a grab-and-go outlet and access to the Delta Hotels Pantry for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members.
The property is centrally located near major corporate offices, government buildings and cultural sites including the Queen’s Palace, with airport shuttle services available for guests.
Delta Hotels by Marriott operates in more than 135 locations across North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Central America and the Caribbean. The Antananarivo opening represents the brand’s first presence on African soil.
Riad Zeggari, Chief Executive Officer of the Hospitality Division of LUCEO Group, said the hotel was designed to allow guests to move easily between work, rest and discovery. “Guided by the brand’s focus on the details that matter most, the hotel offers a calm environment where guests can move easily between work, rest, and discovery, while remaining well connected to the city.” — African Media Agency, April 10, 2026
