More for our broke millennials and Gen Z if you were not shock and awed on your train down to the capital, then why not let this new low-cost hotel give you a stress release from the cost of living crisis.
A new Otherwander — a pod hotel concept — has opened at 92 Dean Street in London’s Soho, offering accommodation from £70 per night across 566 pods in a fully digitalised, design-led format, the company announced on June 1.
Guests check in online and access both the building and individual pods via a QR-enabled digital pass stored in a mobile wallet, removing front desk check-in entirely.
Pods, branded as nests, are available in single and double formats and include premium bedding, blackout windows, sound-softened walls, USB charging and superfast Wi-Fi. Shared facilities include spa-quality bathrooms with rain showers and a self-serve bar offering beer, wine and cocktails.
The property sits adjacent to the Elizabeth line entrance at Tottenham Court Road station.
“Otherwander Soho represents a distillation of what guests truly need and should pay for,” said Fredrik Korallus, chief executive of Otherwander Soho. “No frills, no wasted space, no friction.”
The brand has been designed with international expansion in mind, with plans to take the concept into major cities beyond the UK.
