Wizz Air is expanding its Central European footprint for winter 2026-27, loading five new routes across three bases that stretch the low-cost carrier’s reach from the Atlantic coast of Morocco to the shores of the Caspian Sea.
Bratislava emerges as the biggest beneficiary of the expansion, gaining three new routes. Twice-weekly flights to Agadir launch on October 27, offering Slovak travellers a direct connection to Morocco’s southern resort city, which has grown steadily as an alternative to the more saturated Marrakech market. A twice-weekly service to Baku follows a day later on October 28, opening up the Azerbaijani capital to Bratislava passengers at a time when South Caucasus tourism is drawing increasing interest from European visitors. Hurghada, Egypt’s enduring Red Sea staple, rounds out the Bratislava additions with a twice-weekly service from October 26.
Gdańsk picks up a single new route, a twice-weekly service to Agadir from October 27. The connection gives the northern Polish city its first Wizz Air link to Morocco, tapping into what appears to be broadening demand for North African sun escapes from beyond the traditional Western European gateways.
Prague’s addition is the most distinct of the five. A once-weekly service to Turin, launching on January 16, 2027, links the Czech capital to the Piedmontese city – home to the Shroud of Turin, a thriving food and design scene, and a ski hinterland in the Alps. The January start date positions it squarely for the tail end of the winter sports season.
Taken together, the five routes point to Wizz Air’s continued confidence in leisure demand from Central European bases, with Morocco appearing twice across the announcement as a destination of growing reach.
