Tahiti Tourisme has relaunched its Tahiti Specialist Program, the destination’s official free training course for tour operators and travel agents, with a redesigned advisor platform aimed at deepening trade knowledge of The Islands of Tahiti and driving bookings.
The revamped online programme brings together a centralised education hub, sales tools, partner resources, event information and performance tracking in a single platform. Available free of charge and taken at the advisor’s own pace, it guides agents through training modules, quizzes and destination-focused content covering French Polynesia’s archipelagos and experiences. Nearly 1,000 advisors worldwide are already using the programme, according to Tahiti Tourisme.
The course is structured around three certification tiers: bronze, silver and gold. Advisors who reach the higher levels unlock additional benefits, with familiarisation trips made available to those who earn silver and gold certification, giving the trade a direct incentive to progress through the tracks.
Alongside updated content, the self-paced programme features specialised learning tracks and resources designed to support advisors’ businesses, from client advice to closing sales. The relaunch reflects a wider push by destinations to arm frontline agents with the product knowledge and tools needed to sell more complex, higher-value long-haul itineraries.
The move comes as French Polynesia works to improve access and connectivity for international visitors, with local carriers Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti recently activating a codeshare that lets international travellers book inter-island flights on a single ticket, easing the multi-island journeys that define a Tahiti holiday.
