Singapore-based PHAL has launched PHAL OS, which it bills as the first Total Hotel agentic AI solution, and says a third Top 10 global hotel group has selected it, the company announced on October 13.

For hotel operators and owners, the product is pitched at the spreadsheet work that sits behind daily performance reviews, budgeting and asset decisions. PHAL says a department head loses close to two hours a day to spreadsheets, which it puts at about 200,000 hours a year across four department heads in a 100-hotel portfolio.

PHAL OS is a single AI agent that reads an entire hotel across four areas the company calls the four Ps: performance, profit, preference and people. It covers six stages of an asset’s life: deal feasibility and pre-opening, the daily total hotel performance review, forecasting and budgeting, capital expenditure and projects, owner alignment, and asset management. It runs inside the operator’s own infrastructure.

PHAL says its method, which is patent pending in Singapore, traces every figure to its source before a leader sees it. The agents read and recommend, while the hotel group’s people make the decisions and nothing executes on its own.

The third mandate is a proof of concept for a Top 10 global hotel group, whose name is confidential, as with earlier engagements. The inaugural client, also a Top 10 group, has proved three projects and is scaling to further bespoke builds, and the first solutions are ready for production. A globally recognised luxury operator has signed a letter of intent and is moving to its next steps.

Saurabh Prakash, chief executive and founder of PHAL, said it was humbling that three of the world’s most significant hotel groups had trusted the firm within six months. He argued that a hotel is one business and needs one intelligence that sees all of it, and said the system stays inside the operator’s infrastructure with decisions remaining with the operator.

Dave Roberts, a faculty member at Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration, said after seeing a demonstration that he was impressed, describing the product as giving specific recommendations with a comprehensive view of hotel operations, and as very user-friendly.

PHAL, which stands for Prakash Hospitality Advisory Pte Ltd, was founded by Prakash, a hospitality operator with 25 years of experience. The name comes from the Sanskrit word for fruit, outcome and consequence. On the demand side, one in three UK travellers now use AI tools to plan holidays.
