Grupo Aeromexico has renewed and expanded a revolving syndicated credit facility to $250mn, strengthening liquidity as the Mexican carrier continues to invest in its long-term business plan.

The airline said the new facility, arranged with BBVA Mexico, increases a $200mn line originally secured in November 2024 and extends it for a three-year term.

BBVA Mexico acted as sole global coordinator, sole bookrunner and administrative agent for the transaction, structuring, syndicating and increasing the financing. Aeromexico said the facility received active participation from domestic and international financial institutions.

The carrier said the renewed facility would support ordinary operations while improving financial flexibility, allowing the company to allocate resources to strategic investments and the execution of its long-term plan.

Aeromexico, founded in 1934, operates a fleet of 170 aircraft and serves 100 destinations in Mexico and 23 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The airline is a founding member of SkyTeam and maintains strategic partnerships including with Delta Air Lines.

The company’s fleet includes Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft and Embraer 190 models. Its main hub is Mexico City International Airport.
