easyJet will relaunch flights between the UK and Kosovo from December 7, with a new service connecting London Luton and Pristina, the airline said on July 23.
The route, operating three times a week, marks easyJet’s return to the UK-Kosovo market after several years without a direct service. Pristina International Airport will now connect to London Luton, offering travellers access to Kosovo’s capital, along with nearby attractions including the UNESCO-listed Gračanica Monastery and the Rugova Mountains.
The Luton-Pristina service is part of a wider winter schedule expansion from the UK carrier, which also includes a new route between Bristol and Strasbourg starting on November 20, and a domestic service linking Belfast International and Aberdeen from January 4. easyJet said it will be the only airline offering direct flights on both the Bristol-Strasbourg and Belfast-Aberdeen routes.
Fares across the new routes start from GBP18.99 ($24), with easyJet holidays also offering package deals in both directions on all three routes.
“We are pleased to be launching three new routes from our UK airports for this winter, including our first route from the UK to Kosovo,” said Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager. “We are committed to providing our customers with greater choice and these new routes offer travellers convenient access for a winter break in two European destinations as well as expanding domestic connectivity between Northern Ireland and Scotland.”
The airline said the Pristina route is expected to serve both leisure travellers and members of the Kosovan diaspora based in the UK, with Pristina positioned as a growing winter destination combining historic landmarks, café culture and access to mountain scenery.
Seats for all three routes are now on sale through easyJet.com and the airline’s mobile app.
