flydubai will resume flights between Dubai and North Macedonia’s capital Skopje on April 1, 2027, with three services a week, the carrier said on November 2.
The route takes flydubai’s European network to 34 destinations. Through the carrier’s codeshare with Emirates, Skopje passengers gain one-stop links via Dubai to Australia, Shanghai and Singapore on a single booking. Skopje follows recent flydubai launches to Bangkok, Benghazi and Pokhara in Nepal.
“Connectivity is a key part of Dubai’s success as a global aviation hub,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai. “Over the years, we have connected many cities that previously had limited direct links to Dubai and the wider world.”
flydubai is marketing Lake Ohrid, the Sar Mountains and Skopje’s Old Bazaar to travellers from the UAE.
Flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International. FZ 1763 leaves Dubai at 09:55 and reaches Skopje at 13:30 local time. The return, FZ 1764, departs Skopje at 14:30 and lands in Dubai at 21:45.
The route will carry flydubai’s Business Class, with lie-flat seats, alongside full Economy Class service. Starlink Wi-Fi is being rolled out across the fleet.
Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, named leisure and business travellers and the Macedonian diaspora in Australia and Asia as target segments. “Our operations will commence with a three-weekly service and we are confident that demand will grow as more customers take advantage of the attractive Dubai stopover offering while connecting beyond the city,” he said.
Return Business Class fares from Skopje start at €3,000, with Economy Class Lite from €580. From Dubai, return fares start at AED12,500 ($3,404) in Business Class and AED2,800 ($762) in Economy Class Lite.
The flydubai network now covers more than 120 destinations in 57 countries.
