IHG brings Noted Collection to Middle East with Riyadh signing

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement to introduce its Noted Collection brand to the Middle East, with a 107-key conversion property in Riyadh due to open by the end of 2026.

The deal with Morina Development & Investment Co. LLC will bring Cantonal Hotel Riyadh Noted Collection by IHG to the Al Olaya commercial district, marking the brand’s regional debut. The property sits next to Kingdom Centre Tower and near the King Abdullah Financial District, about 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport.

The agreement adds to a wave of international hotel signings in Saudi Arabia as the kingdom expands room capacity under Vision 2030 tourism targets, with Riyadh a focal point for both new-build and conversion projects as it continues to plough forward with its tourism plans.

Noted Collection, launched earlier this year as IHG’s 21st brand, is a premium line of independent hotels retaining their own identity while gaining access to IHG’s commercial platforms and the IHG One Rewards loyalty programme. The Riyadh signing is conversion-led, repositioning an existing hotel under the brand rather than a new build.

Haitham Mattar, managing director for India, the Middle East and Africa at IHG, said the signing brought a new premium collection brand to one of the region’s most dynamic hospitality markets as Saudi Arabia advanced its national tourism ambitions. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Haqbani, manager at Morina Development & Investment, said the group saw strong demand for hotels combining individuality and a sense of place with the systems and reach of a global operator.
