The Lakes Hospitality Trade Show will stage its 50th edition on February 24-25, 2027 at the J36 Exhibition Hall in Crooklands, Cumbria, with Cumbria Tourism calling the anniversary a “golden opportunity” for businesses in the region’s visitor economy.
More than 150 regional, national and international suppliers from across Northern England are set to exhibit, spanning utilities, IT, facilities management, professional services, marketing and operating equipment. The show gives Lake District hoteliers and tourism operators one of their main pre-season chances to compare suppliers and sign contracts, and has evolved over five decades alongside a visitor economy that Cumbria Tourism values at £4.7bn.
“Tourism and hospitality are fundamentally about people and relationships, and events like this create the space for businesses to connect, exchange ideas and look ahead,” said Gill Haigh, managing director of Cumbria Tourism.
Haigh said the show offered hoteliers and operators “a chance to step away from the day-to-day” to find new ideas, contacts and innovations in one place, while giving exhibitors “a timely opportunity to be part of an event with a long-standing connection to the hospitality community”.
Jonathan Denby, owner and managing director of South Lakes Hotels, said he had attended every show in his 34 years in hospitality. “The Lakes Hospitality Trade Show isn’t a social gathering; it’s where we secure some of our key contracts for the year ahead, test products before buying, and build supplier relationships that directly improve our bottom line,” he said.
The show, organised by the Lakes Hospitality Association, runs from 10am to 4pm on both days. A limited number of exhibitor spaces remain available via lakeshospitalitytradeshow.co.uk.
