Fusion opens 218-key LÈGACY Hanoi as Vietnam’s capital runs short of branded supply

Fusion Hotel Group has opened LÈGACY Hanoi, a 218-key hotel and serviced apartment property overlooking West Lake, marking the Vietnamese operator’s first hotel in the capital under its Fusion Originals brand, the group said on September 21.

The opening lands in one of Southeast Asia’s tightest urban hotel markets. Vietnam drew 12.3mn international arrivals in the first half of 2026, up 14.9% year on year and on course for a 25mn full-year target, yet most of the country’s pipeline is going into coastal resorts at Phu Quoc and Da Nang, where luxury supply is already running ahead of demand. Hanoi’s pipeline remains restricted, which gives a new upscale property with a branded-residence component unusual pricing room.

The hotel sits in the Ngoc Ha ward, with design references to the O Quan Chuong Gate, the Red River and the five-petal peach blossom. A sculptural crane, the chim hac, hangs above the reception.

The property splits into 133 serviced apartments on floors 9-13 and 19-21 and 85 hotel rooms on floors 14-18, across eight room types from studios to two-bedroom units of 37 sqm to 105 sqm. The hotel inventory comprises 20 Original Rooms, 45 Deluxe Suites, five Premium Deluxe Suites and 15 Executive Suites, each with a private balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows and a vinyl record player. Apartments use wooden tones with indigo and terracotta accents.

YÊN Spa offers Vietnamese therapies alongside an onsen with hot and cold pools, sauna, steam room and relaxation lounge. MỘC LOFT, an all-day restaurant on the 24th floor, serves Northern Vietnamese cooking through a contemporary lens, with rooftop bar 24 Social and Terrace above.

Rates start at $210, with 30% off for stays to December 31 alongside upgrades, flexible check-in and check-out and 20% off the spa and restaurant.

“Hanoi has an extraordinary sense of history, culture and identity. Our ambition with LÈGACY was to create a destination that feels truly connected to Hanoi, one that respects the character and heritage of the city while offering a fresh and contemporary hospitality experience,” said Fusion Hotel Group chief executive Christopher Hur at the opening ceremony on September 16.

General manager Ngo Anh Doan said the value of hospitality lay in emotional connection as much as comfort. “Creativity doesn’t erase tradition. It breathes new life into it, making heritage resonate with today.”

Founded in 2008, Fusion operates 26 properties under eight brands in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, and has moved into branded residences, one of Asia-Pacific’s fastest-growing segments.
