Outdoor brand Norrøna will open its first Arctic lodge, Norrøna Lodge at Andørja, on a remote island in northern Norway in June 2027, marking the first stage of what the company calls its Arctic Voyage, a planned network of lodges along one of the country’s most untouched coastlines.
The lodge will hold just 15 luxury cabins and accommodate no more than 30 guests at a time. Each cabin will feature a fireplace, a bath and floor-to-ceiling glass looking out onto the surrounding wilderness. Facilities will include a restaurant, a lounge and bar, two wood-fired saunas and outdoor hot tubs.
Guests will have exclusive access to the island, with activities including hiking across untouched terrain under the midnight sun, learning local fishing traditions from area guides while out on the water, and swimming in the fjord. Each evening will close with a three-course dinner built around fresh, local Arctic ingredients such as king crab, sea urchin and foraged berries.
The project is led by Jørgen Jørgensen, chief executive officer and fourth-generation owner of Norrøna, alongside Christian Schmidt, the company’s chief experience officer, who oversees the brand’s range of seasonal experiences, culinary offering and guest inclusions.
