Qatar Airways said it will operate a limited number of flights over the coming days to assist passengers affected by disruption caused by the temporary closure of Qatari airspace on March 8.
The airline said scheduled flight operations remain suspended and full services will resume only after the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority confirms that the country’s airspace has reopened completely and safely.
Following temporary authorisation from aviation authorities allowing restricted operating corridors, the carrier plans to run selected flights from Doha to help passengers continue their journeys and reunite with family members.
Flights departing from Doha’s Hamad International Airport on March 9 are scheduled to include services to Seoul, Moscow, London Heathrow, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth and Nairobi.
Additional departures planned for March 10 include Cairo, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Manila, Kochi, Muscat, Istanbul, Mumbai, Delhi, Nairobi, Islamabad, Madrid, Frankfurt, Colombo and Milan.
The airline also outlined a limited number of inbound flights. Arrivals into Doha on March 10 are expected from Seoul, Moscow, London Heathrow, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth and Nairobi.
Further arrivals scheduled for March 11 include flights from Cairo, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Manila, Kochi, Muscat, Istanbul, Mumbai, Delhi, Nairobi, Islamabad, Madrid, Frankfurt, Colombo and Milan.
Qatar Airways said the flights form part of a temporary measure and do not represent a full restart of regular commercial operations. Passengers have been advised to check updates through the airline’s website, mobile application or travel agents before travelling.
The airline also asked travellers not to go to the airport unless they hold a confirmed ticket for travel during the limited operating period.
