Qatar Airways cancels Riyadh and Dammam flights through October 24, cuts Jeddah service

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways has cancelled flights to and from Riyadh and Dammam through October 24 and cut its Jeddah schedule, the airline said in an operational update on October 19.

Services to Jeddah have fallen to four daily flights from seven, a reduction of three flights a day, or about 43%. The carrier did not give a date for restoring its full Jeddah schedule.

The cancellations cover October 24 itself. Qatar Airways did not confirm when Riyadh and Dammam services would resume, warning that schedules could change.

The airline advised customers with existing bookings to contact its team within 48 hours of their departure date. Passengers can check bookings and flight information through its website or app, or use its customer support service.

The update leaves Jeddah with a reduced service while the two other Saudi routes remain suspended. It did not set out specific refund or rebooking terms.

Other carriers have also adjusted Saudi services. Air India previously announced cancellations through October 20, while Malaysia Airlines announced plans to restart Jeddah and Madinah flights from October 18 after a safety review.
