Saudi developer Red Sea Global has opened the first resort at its Amaala destination, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Amaala at Triple Bay, the company said on June 15.
The launch moves the ultra-luxury wellness destination on the kingdom’s north-western coast from development into operation, part of Saudi Arabia’s push under its Vision 2030 plan to build a high-end tourism sector and position itself as a global wellness travel destination.
“The debut of our first resort at Amaala is a moment of realisation for us. By delivering this world-class asset to market on schedule, we are demonstrating that regenerative development can combine commercial ambition with meaningful environmental and social impact, while establishing Saudi Arabia as a premier global destination for luxury wellness,” said John Pagano, group chief executive of Red Sea Global. “This is just the first chapter.”

Designed by Dubai-based architecture firm U+A, the property runs on 100% renewable energy and uses zero-waste management systems intended to limit environmental impact and contribute to local conservation.
The resort offers 202 rooms, suites and garden villas with Red Sea views, alongside 26 branded private residential villas ranging from 552 to more than 1,000 square metres, each with a private pool. It houses the 2,095-square-metre HYLIAA Wellness & Spa, named for the Arabic word for “elegant beauty”, and a 511-square-metre fitness hub offering sound healing and beachside yoga led by international specialists.

The property has six open-air dining venues, including the Middle Eastern coastal restaurant MAA Social and the cliffside ROCK BAAR, alongside five pools, a 900-metre private beach, a supervised “Kids for All Seasons” programme and a teenager club. It also offers more than 1,000 square metres of event space for executive retreats, weddings and corporate summits.
Guests have access to the broader Triple Bay community, including the Corallium Marine Life Institute designed by Foster + Partners, the Amaala Yacht Club and the Marina Village.

The Four Seasons opening is the first of eight resorts scheduled to welcome guests at Amaala this year. Red Sea Global began welcoming guests at its first destination, The Red Sea, in 2023, and opened a third site, Thuwal Private Retreat, in 2024.
