SoftBank Robotics UK Ltd. will present its AI and robotics solutions for foodservice at EquipHotel 2026 in Paris on November 2-5, as it widens its automation push across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
For hotel groups, restaurants and travel-linked catering operators, the line-up speaks to pressures the company says are squeezing the sector: robotics is already moving into airports and other travel spaces, and kitchen and dining-room automation is the next step for operators short of staff.
The company cited labour shortages, recruitment difficulties, rising costs, inconsistent food quality and food waste as the challenges facing hospitality and foodservice businesses. It positions robotics and automation as a way to support “more efficient, consistent and flexible foodservice operations.”
Among the products on show is STEAMA, a steam-based cooking robot that uses high-pressure, high-temperature steam to prepare frozen noodle dishes in about 90 seconds with one-touch operation. FLAMA and BOTINKIT Omni are automated cooking solutions aimed at improving kitchen efficiency and consistency, with BOTINKIT Omni able to prepare up to 30 servings at the same time.
On the front-of-house side, SoftBank Robotics will show Servi Q, an AI-powered serving robot developed jointly with Bear Robotics. The robot has a 35 cm body width and can navigate aisles as narrow as 45 cm, which the company describes as the narrowest in its class, and it can reverse. SoftBank Robotics is the exclusive global seller of Servi Q.
EquipHotel 2026 is organised by RX France and takes place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. SoftBank Robotics will be in Pavilion 7.3, Stand S030.
