Portuguese hotel manager Amazing Evolution won five 2026 World Travel Awards, including Europe’s Leading Hotel Management Company, the company said in October.
The independent operator, which manages more than 20 hotels and projects, also took Europe’s Leading Boutique Hotel Operator. Founder and CEO Margarida Almeida said the awards came at a time of strong growth for the company, 14 years after it was set up to offer hands-on independent hotel management.
“These two distinctions recognise not only what we do, but how we do it,” she said.
Three of its hotels also won European titles. 1908 Lisboa Hotel, a four-star boutique hotel in a restored Art Nouveau building in Lisbon, was named Europe’s Leading Design Hotel.
Estoril Vintage Hotel, a 15-bedroom property in a 1920s palace on the Estoril coast, won Europe’s Leading Hotel. White Shell Beach Villas, an eco-resort in Porches in the Algarve, 400 metres from Senhora da Rocha beach, was named Europe’s Leading Villa Resort.
Amazing Evolution has collected 26 World Travel Awards since 2018. The awards, founded in 1993, are decided by votes from travel professionals and consumers.
Amazing Evolution was founded in 2012 and manages independent hotels across Portugal for owners and investors.
