flydubai has resumed direct flights between Dubai International (DXB) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) from July 31, restoring non-stop connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Hungary.
The low-cost carrier will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Terminal 3 at Dubai International. Frequency rises to a daily service from October 25, timed to meet autumn-winter travel demand. flydubai first launched flights to the Hungarian capital in 2021.
The route is offered as part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, giving passengers single-ticket bookings, through-checked baggage and access to both carriers’ networks. From Budapest, travellers can connect via Dubai to destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Southeast Asia, including Kenya, the Maldives, Oman, Sri Lanka and Thailand. flydubai serves more than 120 destinations.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive officer at flydubai, said the resumption reaffirmed the airline’s long-term investment in Hungary and reflected economic and cultural ties between the two countries. He described Budapest as one of flydubai’s most strategic European markets.
Jeyhun Efendi, divisional senior vice president of commercial operations and e-commerce at flydubai, said the service created commercial and tourism opportunities across both markets ahead of the autumn-winter season, with trade partners able to use integrated itineraries through the Emirates codeshare.

Flight FZ 1405 departs Dubai at 16:45 and arrives in Budapest at 21:40. The return, FZ 1406, leaves Budapest at 22:40 and lands in Dubai at 07:05. All times are local. Passengers travel on flydubai’s Boeing 737 fleet, with Business and Economy cabins.
Return fares from Dubai start from AED15,585 in Business Class and AED2,987 in Economy. From Budapest, return fares start from HUF802,400 in Business and HUF182,900 in Economy.
The Budapest relaunch follows recent flydubai launches to Aleppo, Bangkok and Benghazi. The carrier adds Pokhara in Nepal from September 23.
