Expo 2027 Belgrade will hold a Visit Serbia B2B networking event in Skopje on October 8 to build tourism links with North Macedonia, organisers said on October 6.
Serbia recorded 82,047 tourist arrivals from North Macedonia between January and July 2026, up 22% on the same period of 2025. Bilateral trade reached EUR1.5bn in 2025, giving travel businesses on both sides an established market.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm on Thursday at Public Room in Skopje and brings together tourism professionals and business representatives to explore cooperation ahead of the Expo.
Expo 2027 chief executive Danilo Jerinic said Serbia and North Macedonia "share more than a border". He said the Expo "offers a platform to bring tourism industries and business communities closer together".
Expo 2027 Belgrade runs from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All. It is the first Specialised Expo in the Western Balkans, and more than 140 countries have confirmed participation.
North Macedonia will present a pavilion called All Rhythms of the Sun, featuring music, gastronomy, wine, hospitality, nature, tourism, culture and the arts.
