Turkish brand Maxx Royal will open a 250-villa resort across five Maldives islands in 2027, its first property outside its home market, the company said on October 27.
The resort will include 41 ultra-luxury villas on five interconnected islands about 30 minutes by private yacht from Male. It adds a new operator to the Maldives luxury segment, from a brand known for its resorts on the Turkish coast.
The dining line-up features Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Lena by Dani Garcia and Caviar Kaspia.
A dedicated Marine Biology Center will focus on ocean education and coral restoration. Guests will also have private beaches and reef access.
Baraka Architects designed the exteriors and Autoban the interiors. The company said the design blends its Turkish hospitality with natural materials and a strong link to the surrounding islands and sea.
Maxx Royal has not given an exact opening date.
