Canada’s Porter Airlines will award 20,000 VIPorter loyalty points to one member a day for 20 days to mark its 20th anniversary, the Toronto-based carrier said on October 15.
The daily draws run from October 15 to November 3 for a programme that now has nearly four million members. Porter has been building VIPorter’s earning power through banking ties, most recently becoming the preferred airline partner of BMO Blue Rewards, as it competes with larger Canadian rivals for loyalty spending.
Canadian VIPorter members who flew with Porter or redeemed points between October 1, 2025 and November 2, 2026 are entered automatically. At current redemption levels, 20,000 points covers four one-way short-haul flights or a return trip to selected sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean, which start at 10,000 points each way. Points can also be redeemed on partner Alaska Airlines and Air Transat flights.
“Celebrating 20 years of service is about recognizing our passengers who have chosen to fly with us over the years,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at Porter Airlines.
Porter, which this month announced five new routes from London, Ontario for spring 2027, was named best regional airline in North America at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards for the third year running.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Toronto, Porter Airlines has grown from a regional carrier into Canada’s third-largest airline. It flies Embraer E195-E2 and De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft across Canada and to the US, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
