Qatar received 2.95mn visitors in the first 10 months of 2026, with October arrivals up 21.7% month on month, according to Qatar Tourism data released on November 3.

Markets outside the Gulf supplied most of the October gain. Asia and Oceania and Europe each added about 82,000 visitors in the month, against 107,000 from GCC states. That trimmed the GCC’s share of the year-to-date total to 39.9% from 40.9% at the end of September.

Qatar logged 336,000 visitors in October, up from 276,000 in September. The totals cover arrivals through land, air and sea entry points.

September’s figure was down from 303,000 in August. Qatar had logged 2.338mn visitors by the end of August, according to figures published in September, so the past two months brought 612,000 arrivals.

GCC markets remained the largest source, with 1.176mn visitors between January and October. Asia and Oceania followed with 630,000, or 21.4%, ahead of Europe with 620,000, or 21%.

September arrivals had risen 1.1% year on year to 276,000, Qatar Tourism said in October. The latest release gave no year-on-year comparison for October or for the 10-month total.

The data follow Qatar Tourism’s decision to join the Pacific Asia Travel Association at WTM London on November 3, a membership aimed at Asia Pacific source markets. Hotel supply in Doha is also growing, with IHG opening Kimpton Al Rowda, the brand’s first hotel in Qatar.

The Americas supplied 216,000 visitors over the 10 months, or 7.3% of the total. Other Arab countries accounted for 209,000 and other African countries for about 96,000.
