Emirates SkyCargo has launched AI Tech, a dedicated product for moving AI server racks and chips, the Dubai airline’s cargo division said on November 3.
The carrier moved more than 700 tonnes of AI infrastructure across its network in July alone and says demand has kept growing. Data-centre deployments involve high-value cargo on compressed timelines, and AI Tech sells priority handling for that traffic.
The product covers server racks, semiconductors, GPUs and capital equipment. It combines priority loading and scheduling with globally standardised handling procedures that keep equipment correctly oriented and cut the risk of damage.
Shipments are tracked airport to airport, with milestone updates monitored from Emirates SkyCargo’s command centre in Dubai. Specialist project cargo support covers oversized and heavy pieces.
“Behind every AI breakthrough is physical infrastructure that needs to arrive safely and on time,” said Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo.
AI Tech is available across the global network for most AI-related cargo. Highly specialised manufacturing equipment needs a station capability assessment in advance.
Emirates has also signed an MoU with Dubai Chambers to support Dubai SMEs with cargo and travel rewards.
Emirates SkyCargo also sells capacity on its wide-body passenger aircraft. By March 2027 it will operate 23 dedicated freighters, with main-deck space for tall, dense server racks that often weigh more than 3.5 tonnes.
