The Global Agritourism Network (GAN) will hold its 2027 Global Agritourism Conference in Bromont, Quebec, on June 14-17, and is taking speaker proposals until November 13, it said in its October newsletter.
The conference moves to Canada’s Eastern Townships wine country after this year’s event in Aberdeen, hosted by Scottish Agritourism. Organisers expect more than 400 delegates and have room for up to 64 speakers.
Sessions will cover four themes: supply development and marketing, sustainability and climate adaptation, innovation, and destination strategies. The call is open to farmers, producers, food artisans, destination managers, tourism and agricultural organisations, and researchers with documented agritourism projects, business models, partnerships or policy wins. Selected speakers will be told in the week of December 14.
Recordings and slides from more than 60 presentations at the 2026 conference in Aberdeen are now available online. They include benchmarking of agritourism in Scotland, the US, India, Australia, Taiwan, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and Hungary, insights from Albania, Austria and Canada, and a keynote from Gillian Martin, Scotland’s cabinet secretary for climate action and rural affairs.
GAN has also released a webinar on agritourism in the US, drawing on interviews and a 2025 nationwide survey of operators, and covering liability, regulation and US Department of Agriculture support programmes.
The Global Agritourism Network connects more than 1,600 people working in agritourism across 119 countries, with membership open to businesses, associations, academic and government groups.
