Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) has signed agreements for two Hyatt Regency hotels in Bengaluru with developer Brigade Group, adding 600 rooms, the company said on October 26.

Both hotels sit inside Brigade mixed-use projects and are built around meetings business. The larger will have about 25,000 sq ft of meeting and event space, and the second a ballroom of more than 10,000 sq ft. The city’s international links are also widening, with SWISS launching Zurich-Bengaluru flights.

Hyatt Regency Bengaluru at Brigade Global Park will have about 350 rooms and suites within Brigade’s 25-acre Global Park engineering and business development. Its management agreement is with Brigade Estates and Projects Private Limited.

The second, Hyatt Regency Bengaluru on Whitefield-Kadugodi Road, is planned with about 250 rooms in an upcoming integrated township. Its agreement is with Ananthay Properties Private Limited, also a Brigade Group entity. Both are planned with an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a rooftop bar and a pool bar.

“Bengaluru continues to demonstrate strong demand across business travel, meetings and events,” said Vikas Chawla, Hyatt’s president for India and Southwest Asia.

“At Brigade, hospitality has always been an integral part of our landmark projects,” said Nirupa Shankar, joint managing director of Brigade Group.

The Hyatt Regency brand has more than 245 locations in over 50 countries. Hyatt gave no opening dates. Brigade Group, founded in 1986, develops residential, office, retail and hospitality property in cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi.
