Emirates signs Ras Al Khaimah tourism agreement at Dubai travel fair

Emirates signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority to raise visitor numbers to the emirate, the authority said on September 15.

The agreement extends the airline’s push for multi-emirate stays beyond Dubai, following a similar renewal with Sharjah’s tourism authority signed at the same event, and gives Ras Al Khaimah access to source markets across a network of nearly 140 destinations as it works towards its target of 3.5mn annual visitors by 2030.

The two sides will look at promotional activity in selected markets, covering joint marketing and advertising and familiarisation programmes for trade and media. The authority will provide ground experiences for visiting agents and journalists and share the cost of multi-market campaigns in its target markets.

It was signed at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Phillipa Harrison, chief executive of the authority.
