China Eastern Airlines will average more than 430 international and regional flights a day on over 180 routes this winter season, it said on November 1.

The Shanghai-based carrier is adding capacity to South-East Asian leisure markets, with more flights from Shanghai to Bali, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and from Kunming to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Its winter network covers more than 40 countries and regions.

The winter schedule began on October 25. Routes launched or resumed this summer continue through the season, including Shanghai-Tbilisi, Shanghai-Dublin and Shanghai-Stockholm.

The airline is resuming Adelaide-Shanghai flights and adding seasonal services from Shanghai to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It is raising frequencies on its Buenos Aires-Auckland-Shanghai route and adding flights from Shanghai to Frankfurt, London and Vancouver.

China Eastern has reconfigured some of its VIP lounges in Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an, adding more than 400 seats in dedicated first and business class areas. Eligible first and business class passengers can book free airport transfers in cities across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania.

New first and business class menus run on 12 long-haul routes from Shanghai, including to New York, Paris and London. First and business class passengers get free high-speed Wi-Fi on all of the airline’s wide-body aircraft.
